May and June shenanigans

As the riding season hits full throttle, May and June gave us a proper mix of good rides, good laughs, and solid brotherhood. From casual ride-outs to emotional Memorials, here’s what we’ve been up to.
4th May – Meet-Up with the Celtic Crew at Sea View Farm
We kicked off the month riding out to Sea View Farm to meet the Celtic Crew. Solid turnout, great weather, and good vibes all round. After hanging out a bit, we blasted down the coast to Boscastle, where we crossed paths with the Red Chiefs, MLNR. Always good linking up with other clubs—plenty of mutual respect and shared stories. This ride set the tone for the rest of the season.
11th May – Mechanics & Chill
This one was more about chilling out than clocking miles. We spent the day wrenching on bikes, having a laugh, and just enjoying the company. These days are underrated—nothing official, no destination, just brothers helping brothers and enjoying the process. Oil stains, banter, and bikes. Doesn’t get more MCC than that.
17th May – Saturday Ride: Phooey's New Bike
We had a mission: go pick up Phooey’s new bike. And of course, we turned it into a ride. Rolling out as a group to welcome a new machine into the family always adds a bit of excitement. Everyone wanted a peek (and a sit) on the new wheels, and Phooey didn’t stop smiling all day. Definitely one of those simple but memorable club days.
31st May – DOG Run
This was a more emotional one. We linked up in Taunton to take part in a ride to Jolly’s Bike Shop in memory of DOG, a member of the Red Chiefs who passed in 2022
Rest in peace, DOG – gone but never forgotten.
thank you to the Red Chiefs for involving us; it was an honour to be a part of.
1st June – Sunday Ride & Breakfast
Nice weather, open roads, and a proper cooked breakfast waiting at the end—what more could you ask for? We took a casual ride out as a group and settled into a good spot for breakfast. These smaller, laid-back ride-outs are a reminder of what it's all about: freedom, mates, and a good fry-up.
15th June – Falmouth Run to Visit Chris (Prospect)
Time for a longer one—down to Falmouth to catch up with Chris, one of our prospects. We took the scenic route both ways, soaking in the views and enjoying some decent twisties. Everything about the ride was smooth—the road, the pace, and the company. It was good to check in on Chris and show some presence down that way.
19th June – Welcome Back, Terminator
Big welcome back to Terminator, rejoining CCMCC as a prospect after some time away. Always good to see familiar faces return, and we’re glad to have him back on the road with us. time to earn that patch back Terminator. All the best, mate.
22nd June – Ride to Bude
Our President, Sergeant-at-Arms, and Road Captain headed out on a longer ride to Bude. Plenty of bikes were out that day, and the roads were alive. It was a proper stretch of the legs, with good conditions and a strong pace. Sgt is definitely enjoying the new bike.
Bike nights
We have also been hitting up bike nights up and down the county since the weather started getting better.
Some included are;
Marizion
chapter 1
project 83
bearded brewery

Wrapping It Up
The last couple of months have reminded us why we ride: for the stories, the people, and the bond that holds it all together. Whether we’re fixing up in the clubhouse or pushing miles on a Sunday, Celtic Crow MCC keeps rolling forward and growing.
One thing has been made very clear over the past six months: you can try your hardest to shoot down the crows, but we will never stop flying.
VP,
CCMCC
