Well what can we say about the open ride on Saturday.....
The Crows met at their Nest for a quick chat as we all gathered. Fortunately no miss haps this morning so we set off for Dameralls.
When we arrived there was a fair crowd there waiting for us which was great to see. It was good to see some of the Scorpions and some of the new MCC recently formed. The Kernewek MCC and some of their partners plus a few others. So we had a meet and greet and went over the route whilst supping a coffee.
We set off down to chivvy cross to meet a couple more stragglers and another coffee, god help our bladders!
Then down to Portreath and what a beautiful ride it was with a strong smell of wild garlic from the verges and the scenic views. We met up briefly with an old friend of the club’s which was great. A couple guys had to go on their way so we set off to our next destination Marazion.
Again another ride through our glorious countryside further down west with all the sights and views that went with it but nothing quite as spectacular as the view of bikes in your mirrors trailing behind into the distance and the rumble of the engines. We arrived at Marazion and parked up for a brew and to take in views of St Michael’s Mount under the blue skies and sunshine before we headed off up to Helston for the main event, a large Pasty!
Again a nice little bimble up to Helston where we stopped at our final destination The Cornish Oven Pasty shop. Whilst devouring our pasties guess who showed up, none other than our own Phooey and his lovely clan in tow. You need to get a sidecar Phooey, then you can bring them along too 😱. Well after a chat and saying our goodbyes we all dispersed in different directions. All I can say is a big thank you to the Scorpions MC and Kernewek MCC for joining us. Also to all the others. Hopefully we will see you and others on the next one. And remember we made some bleddy NOISE
